Alicia Gossman-Steeves
Alicia Gossman-Steeves leads a Sunday morning discussion group examining spiritual formation primarily within the context of Wesleyan theology. She is a wife, mother of three boys and a step-grandmother to two girls and two boys. She is a licensed minister in the church, and is working toward ordination as a deacon.
She has a B.A. in Sociology from Point Loma Nazarene University and a certificate in Youth Ministries, and a Master’s degree in Religion with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation from Northwest Nazarene University.
Alicia is the managing editor for the La Junta Tribune-Democrat and three weekly newspapers. She used to be in the criminal justice system, on the right side of the bars, as a court clerk. As a writer, she has had her work published in local publications and A Cup of Comfort Devotionals for Moms.
She is a budding photographer, using a Canon 40D with a few good lenses in her bag, and is working on some photography projects concentrating on southeastern Colorado.
Before her first husband, Gordon, died of pancreatic cancer, Alicia was a stay-at-home mom, pastor’s wife and a part time correspondent for an agricultural newspaper.
In her spare time, Alicia enjoys bike riding, photography, crafting, spending time with the family, writing, cooking, baking and shopping (!).
